Many popular Bollywood films are released each year. Bollywood has become a general term that refers to Hindi movies made in India, but Bollywood is also technically the biggest movie making area. True Bollywood films are produced in Mumbai, India.

Ghajini (2008)
Starring Aamir Khan and Asin, the movie is about a wealthy man who loses his memory trying to help prevent his girlfriend’s murder. As he slowly puts the pieces of his life back together, he doesn’t realize that the gangsters who killed his girlfriend are now after him.

Om Shanti Om (2007)
Starring Shahrukh Khan and Arjun Rampal, the movie is about an aspiring actor who is murdered. He is reincarnated and, after returning to the scene of his beloved’s murder, his memories start to return. He tries to unravel the mystery of his death and his beloved’s murder, forcing a confession from the killer. He also discovers a beautiful actress who is the very image of his long lost love.

Krrish (2006)
Starring Rekha and Hrithik Roshan, the movie is about a man with super-human powers who is killed in an accident. The man’s son turns out to have the same powers as his father, so the boy’s grandmother moves to a remote area to help protect him. However the boy matures and falls for a woman who is only out to exploit his special powers.

Gadar Ek Prem Katha (2001)
Starring Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel, the movie is a classic tale of star crossed lovers. During riots between India and Pakistan, a Sikh boy saves a Muslim girl and they fall in love. The girl learns her father, who she thought was dead, is actually alive. She travels to see him only to discover he wants her to re-start her life without her beloved and child. The boy then makes an epic journey to reach the girl and reunite.

Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (1995)
Starring Shahrukh Khan and Kajol, the movie is about a young man and young woman who meet on a vacation and fall in love. However, the girl returns to her native India to marry her fiancé. The young man follows after her, determined to claim the love of his life for his own.

Hum Aapke Hai Kaun (1994)
Starring Madhuri Dixit and Salman Khan, the movie is about two young lovers whose older siblings are married to each other. The young lovers are secretly married, but before the news can be spread, the young girl’s older sister dies. In a twist of fate, the young girl is then engaged to her lover’s older brother. However, in the end the brother discovers their love and steps aside so that they may be together.
