Selecting Your Eyeliner Color
You can make significant alterations to the look for your eyes with a few strokes of eyeliner.  Experimenting with different techniques will allow you to give the illusion of a different eye shape or even color.  For the best result you need to start by selecting a color.

• Brown eyeliner is a wonderful starter color. It blends well with all eye colors and can be worn in the day or at night.
• Black eyeliner is much more drastic. You should use black eyeliner only for nighttime wear, unless you have a darker complexion.

Technique

• Gather your supplies: eyeliner, mirror, sponge brush, q-tip
• If using a eye pencil make sure the tip is sharp
• Draw a line as close as possible to your eyelashes.
• Work from the inner edge of your eye to the outer edge on the upper lid.
• Use a sponge brush and go back and forth over the liner gently, so you smudge the line for a softer look.
• Line the lower lid from the outside and taper to the inner edge. Again, smudge the liner.

Putting on eyeliner is definitely a job that takes practice; however, after a few applications you will get the hang of it.
