For example, it's easy to take a pair or jeans and rip or burn them, then decorate them with safety pins. You can also dye and weather your own shirts to transform them into punk shirts without much trouble. However, if your current wardrobe is not conducive to going punk, you'll have to shop around to find the best items.
Consignment Shops
Check out consignment shops for loads of punk clothing options. Buy up those ratty jean shorts, those leather pants with the zippers leftover from the early 1990s, tie-dyed hippie shirts and those old combat boots.
