Caring for Curly Hair.

By: Beccalynn

For those of you, who have curly hair; know that it can be unruly to deal with.  You have gone to hair dressers/stylists to help you find ways that work for you, all that did was use some of your much-needed spending money. I'm sure you googled or yahooed, several engines to give you different ways to care for your hair, and you just cannot seem to find anything that works. You have met several people in the same boat, and not only can they tell you stories of what they went through but also they can tell you different things that worked for them, and still it doesn't seem to work for you.

Why it is so difficult:

There are so many hair products out there, it might be very difficult for you to decide what to use, but really, it is about what works best for you! What's even better, you can narrow your search down by choosing products for curly hair; a mixture of different products may be whats best for you! To start try a shampoo and conditioner for curly hair. Don't overdo it with the shampoo, no more then three times a week is fine, this way you are not stripping your hair of the natural oils it produces, that will help. Secondly, you may want to try a leave in conditioner, this seems to work because it helps from drying your hair with the hair products you use, and also leaves your curls soft and shiny rather then hard and dull! Your next choice is to see whether gel or mouse works better for you, you can also use a finishing spay to keep your hair in place. Many people choose many different things because it works best for them, but base this off your own knowledge, and do not be afraid to try new products!

Moisturizing:

Make sure you use a good Moisturizing conditioner, because this can make all the difference. No worries, not all good conditioners that work are expensive, so don't get overwhelmed. There's also several other options like deep conditioners that you can use to help a couple times a month, and hair treatments like a hair therapy, or oil treatments. Trying a leave in conditioner is a great idea, it helps to keep your hair moisturized throughout the day rather then just until your get your hair products in. As much moisture as you can keep in your hair daily, the better it will work for you!
