Scene Haircuts for Medium-Length Hair

By: Cheryl Bowman

Scene haircuts for medium-length hair are the easiest to create. With medium-length scene hair, you can do just about anything. A scene haircut is not a specific haircut; it just needs to be different from anyone else's haircut or hairstyle.

Razors And Layers
Use a razor to cut layers into your hair. You do not have to cut much off your hair, so the length will stay medium length. You can try all kinds of different hair styling with medium-length layers. The layers can be moved forward or back. Some layers can be straight while others have a wave. Your hair will also be long enough for an updo hairstyle. Change your hair color or add colorful streaks. Color your hair black and add green stripes. Or add multi-color stripes that highlight different layers.

Add Angled Bangs
Cut bangs into your hair, but do not make the bangs straight. You can use scissors to cut angled bangs, or you can use a razor for a more textured look to the bangs. If you make the bangs long enough, they can be worn down, over to the side or pinned into the rest of your hair.

Try An All-One-Length Cut
You can also cut all of your hair so it is the same length and have a medium-length bob. The bob looks professional during the day, but when you go out, you can style your hair in many different ways for a scene "do." Combining a bob with bangs might give you even more styles to work with.

Use Accessories
You can add bows of different sizes, braid ribbons into your hair or use combs and other accessories to lift and pile your hair. Medium-length hair gives anyone with a scene hairstyle many different options, as the hair is long enough to layer, bob, put up, leave down or do just about anything else with it.
