Natural Way of Getting Rid of Cellulite

By: Sheryl L. Barnett

Every woman plagued by this "disorder" wishes there was a magic pill. Alas, there is none for this affliction. It all boils down to basic cleanliness within the body, with a majority of women having trouble in the upper thigh area, the buttocks, stomach and even the arms. Cleansing diets are key to helping to rid your body naturally of toxins. If the cellulite is severe, the only remedy may be just to reduce the appearance of it, but it doesn't always go away, even via the natural route.

One thing that has been found beneficial in the aid of getting rid of toxins and parasite is something called the "Immune Elixir". This a general immune tonic and natural remedy that can be purchased at one of your local health food or organic stores. This elixir helps to eliminate parasites that are within the body. We can get parasites from tap water, improperly cooked foods (pork often being one of the sources, which causes trichinosis). Vegetables and fruit can even have them. Beware of small diners and restaurants too, that do not have strict guidelines on the handling of food.

Garlic will work just as well, in capsule form, golden-seal, black walnut, and an excellent home remedy is to eat 1/3 of uncooked short-grain rice, with no other foods. This is really helpful as it gathers and expels toxicity in the digestive tract.  Vitamin C also is recommended, along with selenium. Selenium binds with and deactivates mercury, while Vitamin C does the same with heavy metals (and not the music variety) such as aluminum, fluoride, arsenic, yes, and even pesticides.  Drinking pure spring water aids in this function as well, flushing out the bad stuff via the urinary tract.

You must burn calories in order to burn fat, and cellulite is nothing but fat gone wrong. The only way to lose fat, is to lose it all over your body. That means doing aerobic activity, walking, stair climbing, more walking, jogging, running, anything to do with being active. Beware of the myth of spot reducing. There is no such thing. Massaging the affected areas of the thighs, buttocks, stomach, and the arms has shown to be effective in aiding the firming the skin and muscle, and thereby reducing the look of cellulite, especially with certain anti-cellulite creams that you can get everywhere from Avon to Dermitage, which is excellent because it increases skin elasticity as well. You can do your own massaging in this effort, and it's well worth it. Optimal results can be seen if these suggestions are used, and used regularly.

Stay away from the sugars, the salts, the caffeinated beverages like coffee and sodas. This is hard, but it can be done. Eat light, watch the calories, and read read read. There is an amazing array of books out there to help you in your fight against the dreaded "cottage cheese effect", or "hail storm" appearance. Follow this advice, and you are sure to see amazing results within 3 weeks. As stated previously, if the appearance of cellulite isn't gone entirely, you will still see a definite reduction if practiced and practiced with regularity.
