Major Colleges and Universities with MBA Online Degree Programs

Penn State
Pennsylvania State University, based in University Park, Pennsylvania, offers an online MBA to qualified applicants. In order to apply, students must provide information including two letters of recommendation, two official college transcripts and scores from their Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT). Costs range from $23,000 to $24,500 per year, not including a $75 application fee. Financial aid and payment options are available.

Colorado State University admits candidates based on their undergraduate grade point averages (GPA) and their GMAT scores. In some cases, candidates will be admitted with GPAs under 3.0 if they provide appropriate letters of recommendation. Tuition fees are roughly $550 per credit hour, plus books and materials.

Texas A&M offers several online MBA degree choices to students, including a program for candidates with an undergraduate degree in business, an MBA to candidates who received their undergraduate degrees in other areas, a Master of Science in Management and a Master of Science in Industrial Technology. Graduate requirements for admission include a 2.75 GPA overall or a 3.0 GPA during a candidate's junior and senior years and three letters of recommendation. Tuition fees are approximately $120 for every three hours plus books and materials.

Portland State University generally requires a 2.75 GPA minimum and a GMAT score of at least 470, with a minimum of 35% in both the verbal and quantitative sections. Students must attend a Friday and Saturday session on campus once a quarter. Fees are approximately $350 per credit hour.

ASU offers an online MBA program through the W.P. Carey School of Business. Applicants are required to submit information including their GPA, their GMAT scores and two letters of recommendation. Tuition is roughly $19,500 per year and can be paid in installments. Financial aid is available.

University of Massachusetts offers an MBA program through the Isenberg School of Management. The program is accredited through the AACSB. Online courses cost $600 per credit plus a registration fee.

The University of Wisconsin offers an online MBA program through its Eau Claire Campus School of Business and the University of Wisconsin MBA Consortium. This 30-credit program requires applicants to have a 2.75 undergraduate GPA and a minimum score of 475 on the GMAT. The school will also accept a comparable score on the GRE. Tuition is $525 per credit.

Mississippi State
Mississippi State offers an online MBA program accredited with the AACSB. Applicants must submit three letters of recommendation in addition to their GPAs and GMAT scores. Tuition costs roughly $444 dollars per credit hour, plus distance and technology fees.

The University of Florida offers three MBA online degree programs: the One Year Option for those who have a business degree and two to seven years of business experience, the Two Year Option for those who do not have business experience and the Concurrent MBA/OEM for those who would like to receive both an engineering and business master's degree. Total fees are estimated at $39,000 for the two-year program, $34,000 for the one-year program, and $56,000 for the concurrent MBA/OEM program.

Wayne State University requires applicants to their online MBA program to have a minimum 2.5 GPA and a score of 450 or more on the GMAT. Students must travel to the campus to take their final exams. Check their Web site for costs.
