With an accurate timeline for building your own home, you can better work with contractors and vendors to meet your budget without any surprises. Months 5 and 6
Interior details involving cabinets, countertops, molding and paint prep bring things even closer to finished. Final flooring during home building is installed after any paint or wallpaper is completed.
Everything gets a touch up in the last month, and appliances are moved in and installed. Many people call in a professional cleaning crew to get rid of the construction grime buildup. Landscaping is added to the outside property, and building inspectors must be called to give their stamp of approval. Once they pass it off, it is certified as habitable, and you can move in.
