Easiest and Simplest Cake Recipe Ever

Do you have a special event or dinner coming up you would like to make dessert for? Here is a recipe with a homemade taste but the ease of buying it in a store. The ingredient list is three. You can't beat that for a homemade cake!

Ingredients

1. Any store-bought cake mix
2. Three large eggs
3. Can of any flavor pie filling

Instructions

Mix cake mix, three eggs, and pie filling in large bowl. Mix well, and remove all lumps. Pour into any cake pan, and bake using instructions on the cake mix box. It's that simple! The pie filling gives the cake a great flavor and keeps it really moist.

Tips

• You can use any flavor cake mix or pie filling, so get creative! Some options include classic yellow cake, chocolate, red velvet, pineapple, lemon, strawberry and many other flavors of cake mix. Try a vanilla cake mix and lemon pie filling, or a chocolate cake mix and strawberry pie filling. The possibilities are endless.
• You can use any cake pan, but this recipe works really well in a bundt pan.
• Many pie fillings are now made in "light" varieties for the calorie-conscious. If you want to make the cake a little less indulgent, use an angel food mix cake and light pie filling.
• For icing, you can use any pre-made flavor you want from the store. If you prefer to make your own, here is a simple way to do it:

Simple Cake Glaze

1. 1/4 cup of melted butter 
2. 2 cups of sifted powdered sugar
3. 2 tablespoons of milk
4. 1/4 teaspoon of almond extract or 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla for flavor (optional) 

Add butter and milk to powdered sugar; add optional flavoring. Mix until smooth and creamy. Drizzle the glaze over the cooled cake.
