Punch comes in all flavors and colors, but when it comes to a recipe for wedding punch, you need to select the perfect recipe to capture the importance of such a special day. Weddings are very special occasions. A recipe for wedding punch must be special too. Your wedding drinks do not have to be complicated creations. There's something very special about simplicity when it comes to the most memorable events in one's life. Make it perfect and make it simple.
Champagne Punch
Champagne is an essential part of the wedding reception, but that doesn't mean your punch should be limited to just one alcoholic beverage. Some champagne punches include cognac or flavored liqueurs that go well with the atmosphere of the wedding.
Mimosa Wedding Punch
Many champagne punches combine sparkling wine and fruit juice. A Mimosa wedding punch is as divine as it sounds, incorporating a sparkling wine and orange juice for a delightful and light drink.
Ingredients You Will Need:
2 bottles Champagne
2 cans frozen concentrate orange juice
Orange slices
Mix the frozen orange juice with one cup of champagne. Blend until smooth. Add the rest of the champagne to the mixture. Add the orange slices in the punch. Cut extra oranges to add as a garnish in the champagne flutes. You can add spearmint leaves for color and scent.
Because this recipe serves approximately eight, you'll need to readjust the recipe based on the size of your party.
Cranberry Mimosa Punch
Ingredients You Will Need:
2 bottles Champagne
1 can frozen cranberry juice
½ bottle club soda
Mix the frozen cranberry juice in one cup of water. Once it's dissolved, pour it into the punch bowl. Add the club soda and stir. Slowly add the two bottles of champagne. Mix thoroughly. Mixture should be a soft red. Adding sliced or whole strawberries to the mixture gives an extra zing to the punch bowl.
Strawberry Champagne Punch
Another simple champagne punch is Strawberry Champagne. Because wild strawberries are available in early spring, this is the perfect drink for a spring wedding. Wild strawberries have a much more pungent taste and aroma than regular strawberries, but they are also very small. To have the best tasting and sized strawberries, use both types.
Ingredients You Will Need:
2 bottles Champagne (or sparkling wine)
2 2-liter bottles of ginger ale
3 to 4 cups wild strawberry juice
Large strawberries for garnish
Pick the strawberries the day before the wedding. Wash, smash and strain the berries. Since you won't get much juice, make sure you have plenty of berries. You will want about three or four cups of juice. If you don't get enough, add frozen concentrated strawberry juice. Mix the juice with the ginger ale and champagne.
Slice the largest strawberries and add them in the punch. Keep the perfectly shaped strawberries for the champagne flutes. After filling with champagne, add one whole strawberry to each champagne flute and garnish with an additional strawberry.
