Citrus Sherbet
Ingredients You Will Need:
1 cup sugar
1 cup milk
Fruit - one lemon, orange or lime (juice and the grated rind)
½ pint heavy cream, whipped
Whisk the sugar in with the milk until dissolved. Set the milk and sugar aside for one hour. Then add the juice and rind, and mix until just blended. Slowly fold in the whipped cream. Pour the mixture into ice cube trays, and place in the freezer. Stir once after 15 minutes, and then let the sherbet freeze solid. Use it in individual glasses of punch, or float a dozen frozen cubes in the punchbowl.
