Planning your next holiday gathering just got a little easier. If you want to create a unique treat for all of your guests, try using fresh goat cheese to create this delicious snack. Making this goat cheese Yule log appetizer will impress even the pickiest of party guests.
Ingredients You Will Need:
2 goat cheese logs
Pine nuts
Dried Italian herb blend
Cloves of four roasted heads of garlic
Table water crackers
Cut each goat cheese log in half. Roll each log in herbs and then in the pine nuts so all sides are covered.
Serve by placing on lettuce leaves for garnish with garlic cloves and crackers on the side.
To roast garlic, preheat oven to 350 degrees. Trim tops of each head and place trimmed-side up in a pan of water that just covers the tops. Sprinkle with a tiny bit of salt and boil on high for about 15 minutes. Transfer the garlic to a baking pan, keeping the trimmed sides up. Drizzle each with olive oil and bake for about 30 minutes. Cloves will be very tender and easy to remove.
