Gourmet pizza recipes don't have to be complicated or time-consuming. It's surprisingly simple to take this comfort food and add a unique blend of delicate flavors. In fact, it's so simple to do that there are many gourmet pizza recipes that only take about 30 minutes to make and bake.

Bacon, Spinach and Artichoke Heart Pizza
Ingredients You Will Need:
6 large slices, uncooked bacon (½ cup cooked, crumbled bacon)
12 inch, cooked, pizza crust
" cup Alfredo pasta sauce
30 baby spinach leaves (about ½ packed cup)
½ cup chopped, marinated, artichoke hearts
1 tbsp minced garlic clove
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
¼ cup grated parmesan cheese

Preheat oven to 425 degrees, or temperature directed by crust packaging.

Place bacon in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Fry bacon until crispy, but not burned. Remove bacon from skillet and pat off excess grease with a paper towel. Crumble bacon into a small bowl, and set aside.

Place pizza crust on pan or pizza stone. Evenly spread Alfredo sauce over the crust. It will be a light coat. Sprinkle bacon, spinach leaves, artichoke hearts and minced garlic over the sauce. Top with mozzarella and parmesan cheese.

Place pizza in oven and let bake for 10 to 15 minutes, or amount of time directed by crust packaging. Remove pizza from oven when crust starts to brown and cheese is melted and bubbling hot. Let pizza cool for 2 to 3 minutes, and then slice and serve.
