Beef with Bow-Tie Pasta
Ingredients You Will Need:
4 tablespoons olive oil
1 pound of asparagus, cut into bite size pieces
1 large onion, sliced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 ½ pounds sirloin steak, cut into bite size pieces
Salt and pepper to taste
½ cup beef broth
1 cup tomato sauce
4 cups bow tie pasta, cooked
½ bunch basil, leaves removed and roughly chopped
¼ cup parmesan cheese, finely grated
Heat two tablespoons of the olive oil in a large pan over medium-high heat. Sauté the asparagus and onion until they are brown and tender, about 8 minutes. Remove them from the pan and season the steak with salt and pepper. Add the last two tablespoons of olive oil and cook the steak until it is golden and almost cooked through, about 10 minutes. Return the asparagus and onions to the pan, and add the beef broth and tomato sauce. Let reduce for a few minutes and toss in the pasta. Pour into a serving bowl and top with the basil and parmesan cheese.
