In order to recognize concerning signs of testicular cancer, you need to understand the basic anatomy of the testicles. Testicles are an important part of the male reproductive system. Each testicle is slightly smaller than a golf ball and should rest in the scrotum, a sac located under the penis. Inside the scrotum, attached to each testicle, you will find the epididymis, a small lump located on the outer side of each testis. All healthy testicles also have blood vessels, tubes for sperm transportation and other supporting tissue, all of which can be mistaken for lumps. You should conduct regular self tests so that you become familiar with your testicles. This way you will recognize a new lump when you feel one.

Lumps
If you develop lumps, painful or painless, in either of your testicles or anywhere inside the scrotum sac, you should see your doctor to get the lumps checked out. This is the most common sign of testicular cancer. In most cases, the lump is present on only one testicle, and it is painless, although painful lumps are also signs of cancer.
Swelling
In most cases of testicular cancer, one or both testicles will swell.
Testicular Pain
Pain in the testes can be the result of many things: orgasm denial, injury or unfavorable conditions. However, if you experience lasting pain that will not subside in either one or both testicles, you should be concerned.
Abdominal Pain
Some people may feel and aching or heaviness in the lower abdomen or scrotum.
