The wound may just need the help of a good ointment that should contain zinc, chondroitin sulfate and other wound healing properties. A doctor or nurse will be able to give you such an ointment or recommend an over-the-counter product that promotes healing.

There are many other factors that also might result in a wound not healing. If the person with the wound does not have proper blood circulation, the wound may have a hard time healing itself. Proper nutrition is also important for sufficient wound healing. The wound also must be kept clean to control bacteria and promote proper healing.

These are just a few factors that could lead to improper healing of a wound. It is extremely important to speak to a medical professional if you have a wound that is not healing properly as it could be a result of many different things. Infection is also a concern, as it can spread very rapidly and lead to other problems as well. Many factors could lead to a wound not healing correctly so it is important to take the wound very seriously.
