Workout Mistakes to Avoid

When you begin an exercise program it is easy to get off track and make workout mistakes. There are five exercise mistakes that can get in the way of your exercise goals.

1. Using incorrect Technique and Form
When you participate in sports and exercise programs it is very important to learn the proper techniques and form for those exercises.Whether you are weight lifting or practicing Yoga, it is vital to learn the right posture and stance for every exercise.To prevent injury and get the most out of each exercise it is imperative to learn good form and technique.

2. Focusing Only on Strength Building or simply on Aerobic Exercise
Building muscle strength and getting enough aerobic exercise are both important components to an effective exercsie program. Participation in any form of exercise is beneficial but if you want to gain the maximum health benefit from exercise then incorporate both types of exercise into your program.

3. Hating the Exercise Program that You Are Involved With
It is pointless to be involved in an exercise program that you find yourself dreading. If you enjoy the exercise activities you participate in you are more likely to stay with the program. If you don't like it you will postpone exercising.

4. Believing that More Exercise is Better
After starting your new exercise program you feel that you can take on the world and you are the more motivated than you have ever been; you find that exercise can be addictive and you never take a break. You increase your chances of getting an injury after 60 minutes becaues your body will go into stress mode.

5. Having an All or Nothing way of Thinking
Some people think that there is no gain if there is no pain. You don't have to experience pain to enjoy the health benefits of exercising. Don't fall into the thinking that tells you that if you don't exercise every day for an hour you should give up.Just do your best. It is better to have gradual progress than no progress because you gave up.
