Remember that some over-the-counter medications, such as ibuprofen, can upset your stomach. If you can, leave the medications in your medicine cabinet.

Rest. Doze. Sleep. The turmoil that your body is putting you through is going to make you feel tired.

It's time to call your physician if you see blood in your vomit or in your diarrhea. In addition, go to see your doctor if you have been vomiting for more than two days in a row or haven't been able to keep any liquids in your system for about 24 hours. You should also call if you have a fever that exceeds 104 degrees Fahrenheit.
