If you want to learn how to make a charm bracelet, you'll be happy to learn it's quite simple to do. Charm bracelets are perfect gifts for those who want to share a sentimental reminder of a relationship or specific memories. Consider making charm bracelets for close friends and relatives, searching for the perfect charms to honor accomplishments and spark memories.
To make a charm bracelet, you'll want to head down to your local craft shop and pick up the following supplies: a roll of wire (21-gauge wire is usually best for this kind of bracelet), a ring, a lobster clasp, simple beads and spacers, charms, small wire cutters and a pair of needle nose pliers. You'll want to cut yourself eleven to twelve pieces of 21-gauge wire, each 1 1/4 inches long to use in your bracelet and arrange your supplies within easy reach.
Using your needle nose pliers, you'll want to bend one end of a piece of wire such that you curl the wire into a small loop at one end of the wire piece. Bend the wire around until the loop is centered at the end of the wire piece, like a mini lollipop. This will act as a stopper at the end of the piece of wire, keeping your beads on. Now string anywhere from one to three beads on the wire. Now use your pliers to curl the other end of the wire piece until it also forms a loop, which you will want to center. This should give you a wire piece with three beads on it, with loops on either side of the beads. This is one segment of your bracelet.
Now take a second piece of wire, make a loop that connects through the loop of the first beaded segment. Make sure you carefully connect the loop all the way. Instead of stringing all beads or spacers and beads on this segment, string a small bead, a charm, and another small bead, then close up the open end by curling the wire into a loop with the pliers on the other end. Now you should have two joined segments of the bracelet, one with a charm, one without.
Continue doing this, alternating beads and charms, until enough segments have been created to fit around your wrist. Using your pliers, attach one loop to the ring of the clasp, and attach the lobster clasp to the other loop. Your charm bracelet should be complete.
