If you are ready to create a dollhouse or are adding pieces to dollhouses that you already have, it's time to look at how to make simple dollhouse miniature projects.
Simple Dollhouse Miniature Projects
How about putting in your own flooring? Start collecting popsicle sticks. Cut to size and glue into place for inexpensive wood flooring.
If you have a fireplace, you may want to put a log in it. Simply paint a cork brown and place it in the fireplace.
For curtains, you will need plastic wrap and plastic straws, either clear or colored. Cut the plastic wrap to your desired lengths and widths. Then, cut very small holes at the top of two pieces of the plastic wrap and weave a straw through. Finally, trim the edges of the straws. You now have curtains, either "sheer" or colored.
Use paper clips to make hangers for your closet. You will need pliers to twist the clips into shape.
Do you want an inviting treat on the kitchen table? How about making some marshmallow-rice cereal treats?
You will need 1 tablespoon of tacky glue, a couple of drops of brown paint, 1 tablespoon of cornmeal and a piece of wax paper. Add just enough paint to the glue to give the glue a light brownish color. Then, add the cornmeal and mix well.
Turn the glue mix onto the wax paper and fold part of the paper over the top of the mixture. Using a glass or a small roller, flatten a little to form a rectangular bar, keeping in mind that when you are finished, the mixture should be about 1/8 inch thick. Remove the wax paper from the top of the cornmeal mix and finish the sides "square" using popsicle sticks.
The bar will have to dry for several hours; the drier the better. Make sure to turn the bar over a few times so that both sides will dry. When the bar is completely dry, cut into small pieces using a utility knife or box cutter. You now have cute little treats for the kitchen.
