Craft Difficulty Rating: Easy

You Will Need:

  • Pipe cleaners: red, white and green
  • 1" pompoms, one yellow and three whites
  • Scrap pieces of black, red, orange, blue, yellow and brown foam
  • Tacky glue
  • Scissors
  • Hole punch

Instructions:

Santa

  1. Twist a red pipe cleaner into three spiral sections. You may want to use a round object to help you get a circular shape.
  2. Glue a white pompom onto the top of the pipe cleaner. This is Santa's head.
  3. Punch out two black circles and one brown circle from foam. The black circles are his eyes and the brown circle is his nose. Glue these in place on the pompom.
  4. Cut a small snippet off another white pompom and spread the material out to create Santa's beard. Glue this just below his nose.
  5. Cut out a small triangle from red foam. Add a little bit of white from the pompom you cut in step 4 to the large side of the triangle. Punch a circle from white foam and glue that to the top point of the triangle. This is Santa's hat. Glue the hat on top of his head.

Christmas Tree

  1. Twist a green pipe cleaner into three spiral sections. You may want to use a round object to help you get the proper shape.
  2. Glue a yellow pompom onto the top of the pipe cleaner. This is the Christmas tree's star.
  3. Punch out various colors of foam with the hole punch. Glue the circles to different parts of the tree. These are the ornaments for the tree.

Snowman

  1. Twist a white pipe cleaner into three spiral sections. You may want to use a round object to help you get the proper shape.
  2. Glue a white pompom onto the top of the pipe cleaner. This is the snowman's head.
  3. Punch out two black circles and one orange circle. The black circles are his eyes and the orange circle is his carrot nose. Glue these in place on the pompom.
  4. Punch out two more black circles from foam. These are the snowman's buttons. Glue them in place on the pipe-ceaner body.
  5. Cut two pieces of brown foam in the shape of tiny sticks. Glue these onto the snowman's body for arms.
  6. Cut a small top hat from black foam and glue to the top of the snowman's head.

Once your Christmas characters dry, they are all ready to help decorate your home for the holidays.
