Having a Halloween party this year, and want to have some scary fun? These scary party games are sure to liven up the night!
Killer Hide and Seek
Select one person as the "killer." All other players go and hide somewhere. Keep all the lights off! The killer puts on a scary mask and walks around, searching for victims with a flashlight. If the killer locates you, you're "dead"! Go to the room designated as the "morgue" and lay down in rows with the other victims. The final person to be caught is the winner! Scary music or sound effects compliment this game well.
Murder in the Dark
Cut uniform sized slips of paper, mark one of them "killer" and leave the others blank. Wad up each and place them in a hat. Everyone picks one and secretly looks at it. The person who selected "killer" is the killer for the game. The lights go off and everyone mills around the room. The killer chooses someone and whispers in that person's ear "you're dead!" That person counts silently to 20 and then screams and acts out a dramatic death scene, then lies down on the floor. The lights are turned on. Players may guess who the killer is. If a player guesses and he is wrong, he dies immediately. The lights go out again and the game continues as before. Each time someone dies, players have the chance to make an accusation. If a player guesses and he is right, the killer dies and the game is over.
Halloween Portraits
Divide into teams of about four players per team. Give each team a brown bag of random props. (The more random the items are, the better.) No knives or obvious things. For example, a banana, a spatula, a pencil, a doll, and a pair of goggles could be in one of the bags. Each team has to use all of their props and get together in a frozen pose illustrating a murder or scary scene in progress. They freeze in their pose and the host takes their picture to print out later. The other teams may stop and look at the team getting their picture taken before the host gets to their team. Post the pictures or give them out as souvenirs. Teams are judged by the host and may have to explain what is going on in their scene, but this game is hilarious and creative fun.
