Free Hanukkah/Chanukah Printables

By: Amber Hilton

Printables are available on the Web for nearly any holiday or occasion, including coloring pages, activity sheets and a number of other fun resources. Best of all, they can be found for free. Teachers love free printables for classroom projects and bulletin boards, but you can use printables in your own home to make coloring books, decorations, invitations and other art projects with your kids.

While it's generally easiest to find printables for major commercial holidays like Christmas and Valentine's Day, you can also find free printables for less commercialized holidays like Hanukkah/Chanukah. Some of the options include menorah and dreidel coloring pages and Hanukkah word search and crossword puzzle activity pages. Thanks to the variety of printables available, many different age groups can be entertained and educated, all for just the small cost of ink and paper.

A simple Internet search for "free Hanukkah printables" or "free Hanukkah coloring pages" will reveal plenty of relevant results. Currently, some Hanukkah printable activity sheets can be found on About.com's Homeschooling page. Teacher Vision is another website that currently has a lot of Hanukkah resources. Designed for teachers, this site has everything from Jewish cultural resources and lesson plans to a long list of Hanukkah printables.

Finally, Printables4Kids is another website that is bound to be at the top of your search results. This website offers some unique Hanukkah/Chanukah printables, including a "color and play dreidel game" and "Hanukkah dreidel dot-to-dot," as well as some kids Hanukkah poems and coloring pages.

These are just a few of the many websites that currently feature some free Hanukkah printables. Web resources are constantly changing, so a search engine is probably your best bet for current results. Although Hanukkah printables may not be as plentiful as the more commercialized Christmas holiday, plenty of fun resources can still be found for free.
