A bucket or pot
Players (groups of ten)
Money
Super Bowl Swap is a fun game to play. There are many ways to play it and change it. You need groups of ten players for this game. As guests arrive, they must put the pre-determined amount of money in the pot. The dollar amount can vary between one, five, or ten dollars. Each player must contribute the same amount.
Arrange sealed envelopes with a team's name and number inside them. If the Jets are playing the Colts, you'll need ten envelopes labeled one through ten Jets and ten more labeled 11-20 Colts. There should be a total of 20 envelopes and, as everyone walks in, they put money in the pot and take one envelope each.
As each guest selects an envelope, they may choose to keep it or swap it (see variations). The player at the end of the game with the number of the final score and winning team in their envelope is the winner, and gets to take home the pot.
Variations-
If you only have ten players you could change the game a little. If you are not sure about how many players you will have, just keep your sets of ten envelopes for each team separate. If you have only ten players, just use one set of envelopes. At the end of the game, choose a winner according to the number on the paper that matches the winning team's score. You need to be sure you only use one team's set of numbers to avoid duplicate winners.
If you wish, after everyone takes an envelope they may have one chance to swap their envelope with someone else. Putting this spin on the game makes it more interesting. As people take their envelope they are able to keep it or take the previous person's envelope. For example, If I went first I am able to take from the last person to go. If I went second I could keep mine or take from the first player and so on. The last person to go is able to take from player one through 19, or one through nine if you have ten players. You can leave the envelopes sealed and do it blindly, or have people open the envelopes. There are many different variations you could include in this game.
Adult birthday party games can liven up any birthday party that is at risk of turning dull. The best games to play at a birthday party should honor the birthday guy or gal and get everyone involved in the festivities. |
Adult Halloween party games need to offer more thrills than just bobbing for apples. You'll need to throw a few genuine frights and supernatural elements into the mix. |
