Try These Inexpensive Centerpieces

If you're looking for inexpensive centerpieces, you're not alone. With all the costs involved in holding a party, it can be helpful to save money on the centerpieces. Fortunately, you can create plenty of centerpieces for low prices.

Seashell Centerpieces
Seashells make beautiful centerpieces, and you can buy them from craft stores at a good price. For this project, you'll need a bag of craft seashells or shells collected on a trip, a large glass jar with a wide mouth or a vase, a tall candle, blue or tan raffia, blue food coloring and tan paper crinkles.

Start by wrapping the raffia around the jar and securing it at the top. Fill the jar with seashells, and then place the candle in the center of the jar. Combine the blue food coloring with water, and fill the jar or vase up to the brim. Arrange the tan paper crinkles around the base of the vase.

Branch Centerpieces
These cheap centerpieces are perfect for fall weddings or other fall events. Gather branches from a nearby forest. You'll need to gather them together so they form a tree shape, and then wrap the bottom of the branches with brown ribbon. Tie at the bottom, and secure the base of your "tree" in a flower pot. Hang votive candle holders, small picture frames or jewels from the branches.

Petal Path
This idea works well for long tables. If you have a rose garden, this idea will be even cheaper. Gather some flower petals, and place them down the center of the table. Arrange six to seven votive candles in glass holders along the path, and then light them before the party begins. You can also use smaller tealight candles or silk flower petals.

Harvest Candle
Purchase wicker paper plate holders, and hot glue real fall leaves or artificial leaves all over the plate. Place a gold, orange or yellow pillar candle in the center of the plate. Surround the base of the candle with more leaves, and light the candle just before the party begins.
