Baby Shower Invitation Wording Ideas

By: Helen Polaski

Baby shower invitation wording can be sugary sweet or spicy-if you know the sex of the baby-or you can keep it soft and cuddly. The words don't have to rhyme, but baby shower invitations are always more fun when the verses play off each other.

Creative Baby Shower Invitations
Making your own creative baby shower invitations is probably a lot easier than you think. The least expensive way is to make a master invitation on the computer, and then print out enough copies for everyone who will be invited.

How To Add Color Wording To Computer Cards
If you want pink baby shower invites, use pink printer paper with black ink. If color paper is a problem, print the cards out in black on white paper, and use color pencils to add color wording to the card.

How To Add Color Letters
A creative way to emphasize the first letter of each line of verse is to cut out letters from color construction paper. Make the first letter in each verse slightly larger than the rest of the verse.

Creating Baby Shower Wording Or Verses
When you create a baby shower invitation, stick to the simple facts, and the card will be less cluttered and more striking. Rhyming is always fun, but not always easy. When creating your own card, don't worry about how silly the wording might sound. Just write from the heart, and your loved ones will smile, even if the words don't rhyme or make that much sense.

Place an announcement such as, "It's a Baby Shower!" on the front of the card, and add a picture of something that has to do with babies. Booties, bottles, diapers and baby toys all work well as card decorations. Place the information inside the card. On the right-hand side, write the name of whom the shower is being given for, when and where the shower will be held and any suggestions for gifts. Place your written verse on the opposite side of the card. The following sample verses will give you an idea of how silly or precious the wording for a baby shower can be.
