Celebrate Thanksgiving Day by making fun kids Thanksgiving crafts like this authentic-looking Pilgrim Hat. Kids learn lessons best when they have hands-on activities that help them remember things. This Pilgrim Hat is easy and fun to make, so kids can be just like the real Pilgrims.
Craft Difficulty Rating: Easy
You Will Need:
Large empty container (margarine, cookie dough, etc.)
Black and white construction paper
Place the large container down so the bottom is upwards. Cover the large container with black construction paper. Glue the ends together. You can discard the lid of the container.
Place the container in the center of a large piece of black construction paper. Glue the open end of the container to the construction paper and let dry for at least an hour.
Cut the corners of the large piece of construction paper to round off the edges. It should look like a hat.
Cut out a buckle shape from white construction paper. Glue the buckle to the center of the hat's brim.
Now turn the hat upside down and cut around the inner circle of the container. This hole will be where your head goes.
Now you are ready to celebrate Thanksgiving.
