Valentine's Day or any day is perfect for this lovely "I Love You" wreath. It only takes a little imagination and a few simple materials for your child to make an adorable wreath. The best treasures we find are those that our kids have made from their hearts.
Craft Difficulty Rating: Average
You Will Need:
Paper plate
Ribbon
Pipe cleaner
Construction paper
Foam letter stickers
Decorative items such as buttons, sequins, beads, etc.
Scissors
Glue
Pencil
Hole punch
Instructions:
Trace a heart in the center of the paper plate with a pencil. Have an adult cut out the heart by poking a hole in the center and cutting around the shape of the heart. This is the basic design for your wreath.
Glue a piece of construction to the bottom of the plate over the heart, so that it fills the cut-out area.
Add decorative items to the wreath by gluing them down. I used beaded hearts, but you can make it look any way that you like.
Using foam letter stickers, spell out "I Love You" on the bottom of the wreath.
Make a bow out of ribbon and glue it to the top of the wreath.
Make a hole with a hole punch and string a pipe cleaner through to make a loop to hang the wreath.
