Make this great big woven heart art to give to someone you care about. Use it for Valentine's Day or any other special occasion.
Craft Difficulty Rating: Easy
You Will Need:
Sheet of pink construction paper
Decorated scrapbook paper
Scissors
Transparent tape
Pink pipe cleaner
Hole punch
Instructions:
Cut a large heart out of pink construction paper. If you have a template of a heart shape, it would be a good idea to use it to trace your heart.
Cut out the heart.
Cut evenly spaced slits across the heart, but do not go to the edge of the heart. It has to stay intact.
Cut strips from the decorated scrapbook paper about 1/2" in width.
Weave the strips in the heart slits and tape down the ends. See the picture for details. You will have to cut the paper to match the shape of the heart. Use transparent tape to secure the ends, as it will not show up if you need to tape from the front of the heart.
Punch a hole in the top of the heart and thread a pink pipe cleaner through to make a loop to hang the heart.
If you like scrapbooking and have a lot of buttons, why not combine the two with fun and easy memory collages to give to a loved one this Valentine's Day? |
