Decorating the master bedroom can be a challenge, especially on a budget. However, you can achieve the look that you desire with these inexpensive decorating ideas.

Paint
Painting is one of the easiest and least expensive ways to change the look of a room. It is a great decorating idea. Choose a color that complements your furniture and bedspread, but don't be afraid to be adventurous, either. You can always paint over it if you decide that you do not like it. It is a good idea to begin with a test patch to check out how the color will look in the room, though.

Or, have a theme with your decorating, like nature. Go take some pictures of animals, sunsets, flowers, etc. and create pictures that you can hang on your walls for art. Also instead of enlarging all of the prints, buy a shelf to display a series of photos.

Décor
Probably the biggest problem with decorating the master bedroom is clutter. Too much décor results in clutter and a messy look, and it is more to dust when you are cleaning. Remember that less is more. Try to keep dressers and nightstands free of décor. Buy a bookcase or a basket to collect books that you read and want nearby. Have a basket to collect magazines. If you keep clutter from gathering, it improves the decorating of your master bedroom.
