Brazil is a beautiful country with an amazing and unique personality. Vacationing in Brazil can be fun and exciting for any type of traveler. Whether you are single, newlywed, married, traveling with children, or retired, vacationing in Brazil can provide you with an abundance of fun and interesting activities and cultural experiences.

Traveling abroad is an unforgettable experience for families. Children will always remember the rich cultural experiences they had vacationing overseas. Unfortunately some families never travel foreign due to cost and inexperience. This shouldn't be so. There are many great ways to enjoy foreign travel, especially to Brazil, and still keep the cost of travel at a reasonable rate.

There are several specific experiences and locations that will make a Brazilian vacation unforgettable for the whole family. Listed are some tips to help keep these experiences cost-effective.

Carnival (Carnaval)

Carnaval is an annual festival in Brazil held four days before Ash Wednesday , usually in the third week of February. Carnaval in Brazil is said to be one of the biggest celebrations in the world. Every year, thousands of tourists vacation in Brazil just to enjoy or participate in Carnaval. Carnaval veries by location, but usually there are parades, block parties, samba school performances, music performances, and just about every native Brazilian food you can think of.  Rio de Janiero and Sao Paulo boast the biggest celebrations.

Vacationing in Brazil during Carnaval will certainly be more upbeat and exciting. It is cost effective because all of the entertainment is ready-made and provided by the holiday. There is no need for expensive extras because the atmosphere is always fun. It is not for everyone though, and certainly not for families with very small children. Congestion from pedestrians and traffic, and all-night noise discourage some foreigners from visiting Brazil, at least during the month of February. It is also common for airline prices to increase during February because of Carnaval.

Brazilian Beaches

Brazil is home to some of the loveliest and most serene beaches in the world. Many people choose to vacation in Brazil because it is possible to find perfect, personal, and unpopulated stretches of beach. The biggest bonus is that you can visit a Brazilian beach all year. This means that you can choose a month where airline tickets are less expensive without sacrificing good weather. Brazilian beaches have bright golden sand and the sea and sky are usually clear and mild. There are literally thousands of beaches to choose from.

Many popular beaches in Brazil have low-cost hotels or pousadas to stay in. These quaint and personal lodgings have amazing customer service, an abundance of palm trees, relaxing atmosphere, and most offer plenty of reasonably priced recreational activities. Don't worry if you don't speak Portuguese. These hotels usually have staff members who speak English to alleviate any communication trouble. Some locations offer a car service from the airport to save on car rental costs.

Iguazu Falls (Iguaçu)

If you are a nature lover, Iguazu Falls at the border of Brazil and Argentina is a must. Iguazu Falls is taller and almost twice as wide as Niagara Falls. There is nearly two miles of uninterrupted waterfall. Tourists may wish to plan a full day in the park to fully enjoy the experience. Helicopter and inexpensive boat trips are available. Iguazu is rustic, beautiful, and incomparable. During certain times of the year, it is possible to book flights directly from Argentina to Iguazu. This can decrease the cost of plane tickets.

Rural Brazil

One more notable seldom mentioned vacation spot is rural mid-western Brazil. Every year, hundreds of tourists tour this region of Brazil to learn about and gain appreciation for the vast and booming agricultural area of Brazil. Investors, real estate agents, and farmers would especially enjoy touring this part of Brazil. Finding a guide in the US or in Brazil is easy and affordable. There are even guides who will take tourist around this countryside on motorbikes. Your family would love to stay at a Brazilian coffee plantation!

Selecting a travel agent or a tour guide to show you the best parts of Brazil can be difficult. It is important to find a travel agent who has lived in or visited Brazil to help you keep travel costs at a minium. Brazil is a country that offers many different experiences, but some of them are more subtle and difficult to find if you are inexperienced.

It has recently been announced that the Summer Olympics will be hosted by Brazil in 2016. Brazil is on the rise and will only continue to improve as time goes by. Vacationing in Brazil is fun, relaxing and exciting all at once. It is a great country to visit during any time of year. Traveling to Brazil is one of the most cost effective and family friendly countries to visit.
