Alcohol-Free Teen Party Ideas

Here are six ideas for themes for alcohol-free teen party ideas that are sure to be a blast. Parents are urged to keep teens away from alcohol. Teens want to socialize and party and have a good time together. A great way to encourage and teach teens to have alcohol-free fun is to have a great party that doesn’t include alcohol. The party can be a draw for teens if it has a theme that the teens would be into.

Murder Mystery Party
There are games with pre-set murder mystery themes that are inexpensive. The guests are part of the action, playing characters, and work together to solve the mystery set up by the game. Alternatively, you can hire an acting troupe to lead the murder mystery party, which is a nice bonus if you have the resources to manage it.

Game Night
Have an assortment of teen friendly board games and Nintendo or Wii set up. Examples of games include Party Pooper, Apples to Apples, Cranium, Risk and card strategy games like Killer Bunnies. Munchies and soda are all you need, but extra bonus points if you have brownies and cookies too.

Psychic Night
Hire a psychic or two to do readings, play music, keep lights low and burn incense. Let everyone have a reading, mingle, socialize and eat pizza, wings, snacks, punch and soda.

Slumber party
Note: single gender only of course. Rent a bunch of movies, get plenty of munchies, and let them stay up late and sleep together in the living room in sleeping bags or on the couch. The social time with girlfriends is a great break for busy teens.

Salon party
Invite the girls to be pampered by hiring a few salon workers to do makeovers, chair massages, nails and hair at your house for an evening. Offer healthy foods like veggies and dip, fresh fruits, crackers and cheese, and finger sandwiches. Serve tea and sparkling water to drink.

Touch Football Party
For girls and guys—organize an outdoor fall party and let them all play and cheer each other on. Serve bbq fare – burgers, hot dogs, fries, chips, and soda. This teen party is great for a Sunday afternoon in the back yard or a nearby park.
