Here are instructions to help you make your own gift tags. The craft is fun to make and looks so nice on packages. You can tailor these instructions for any occasion, including birthdays, Christmas, and others.
Craft difficulty rating: Average
You Will Need:
A sheet of card stock
Photos or drawings that fit your occasion
Glue stick
Hole punch
Thin ribbon
Laminating paper
Instructions:
Cut your piece of card stock so that it is about 2-1/2 in. x 3-1/2 in.
On one side write a gift message. You can either write this in your best handwriting or type it on the computer and glue it to your tag.
Flip the paper over to the blank side and glue down a drawing or photo to go along with the occasion you are making the tag for, like a Christmas tree, you and your friend together, a birthday present, etc.
Laminate the front and back of your tag with laminating paper and trim to the size of your gift tag, leaving about a 1/4 inch of clear plastic all the way around the gift tag. If using an 8-1/2 in. x 11 in. sheet of laminating paper, make multiple tags at once so you do not waste the paper.
Punch a hole in one of the corners.
String your ribbon through the hole and tie it in a knot or bow.
Now you are ready to place the gift tag on your present!
