Imagine yourself standing on a huge stage strumming your electric guitar. Well, you can't do that with this shoebox guitar craft, but you can make some music. Constructing this musical instrument is just as fun as playing with it.
Craft Difficulty Rating: Easy
You Will Need:
Shoebox bottom
Rubber bands
Paper towel cardboard tube
Brown grocery bag
Clear packing tape
Brown tempera paint
Scissors
Pencil
Instructions:
Cover the outside of a shoebox with a brown grocery bag and secure with clear packing tape.
Trace a circle, using the cardboard tube as your guide, around one of the smaller sides of the shoebox in the center, to hold the neck of the guitar. Cut this circle out. Set aside.
Paint the cardboard tube with brown tempera paint. Stand it up to let it dry.
Once the cardboard tube dries, insert it into the hole on the side of the shoebox to make the neck of the guitar.
Place six rubber bands over top of the shoebox, three on each side of the cardboard tube.
Now you are ready to play some music for your family and friends!
