Interpreting Female Body Language Signals

Interpreting female body language signals can be tough. Many men say that women speak an entirely different language, but those who know what body language cues to look for have much more success with translating what she's saying into what she means. It might not seem like it, but you can learn a lot about what's going on in her head without her even saying a word.

Eyes
Watch her eyes. When they're wide open, she's into you. A quick raise of the eyebrows when she spots you is a good sign, too. While it's not a good thing if she's looking all around the room, or at another guy, if she gives you a long glance before looking down and then focuses back on you, you've caught her interest.

Lips
Look at her lips. If she's licking her lips or puts on a lip gloss in front of you, she's drawing attention and most likely would like to get to know you better.

Legs
A woman's legs will tell you a lot about what she thinks of you. If she's crossing and uncrossing her legs, she likes you. But if they're crossed-and crossed tightly-for a long period of time, she might be defensive and ready to make her exit. Her knees give you knowledge, too. If they, and thus her body, are facing towards you, that means she is focused on you. But if they're pointed away, she's less interested or feels uncomfortable.

Hands
Hone in on her hands. It may seem obvious, but when interpreting female body language signals, if she reaches out and puts her hands on you, that is a sign that she's attracted to you. If she has her hands in her hair or is fidgeting with a straw, her clothing or another object, she's trying to make herself appear more attractive to you.
