Subtle and Not-So-Subtle Signs of Being in Love

Do you think you may be falling in love? How do you know? Are there any obvious signs of being in love? Yes, yes, yes! In fact, if these are questions you're asking yourself, then you already know love gives subtle, yet complex, and confusing messages.

What are some of these signs that you're falling in love? Well, they vary, but there are a few that everyone has felt at one time or another. To begin with, you may find that falling in love feels almost wistful; you might mistake melancholy as an approaching illness, or feel like you're having an off-day. On the other hand, you may feel as if you're delightfully happy and filled with unexplainable energy, or you may just wonder about the smile that always crosses your lips when your love interest comes to mind.

Next, you may notice that your heart pounds a little faster, your palms get wet, and you feel like you can't catch your breath or find your words when that person is around. Do you find yourself spending every moment of the day and night thinking about this person, the things they've said, or the things you've done together? Don't worry, nothing is wrong; finding love fills our senses with such wonder that we can't help but experience a wide range of emotions and physical responses.

Right now, you may be wondering if defining love can really be that simple. Certainly falling in love varies from individual to individual. You're right--finding love is an individual process; there is no instruction booklet or textbook. Falling in love is as complex as it is simple. How you find love depends upon your personal style. You may fight a little harder against happiness than others, you may run quickly in the opposite direction, and you may yield easily. When you allow yourself to love, you'll have the answers to your questions.

So, now that you've looked at the wonderful symptoms of love, tell me, do you remember the very first time that you fell in love? Do you think if you were to sit quietly and bring that first love to mind you could recall every little detail of that time you shared, from the first meeting, to the first kiss? Of course you could. Love is the most powerful energy in existence. Love changes everything and everyone it touches. Trust that change is good.
