Signs of a Cheating Boyfriend

You've met the perfect guy and have fallen deeply in love. Everything is going along just fine until one day, when something just doesn't seem right. There is a nagging feeling in the back of your mind that he's just not acting the same. Is he cheating or is it your own overactive imagination getting the best of you? While the only real way to find out for sure is to either catch him in the act or get a confession, here are some telltale signs that could let you know that he could be going astray:

• Changes in appearance: If your boyfriend suddenly goes from slob to debonair overnight, you might have a reason to be suspicious. Getting dressed up to go have a beer with the guys is fine, on occasion, but when it happens repeatedly and is out of the norm, he may not be going to see his friends.
• New routine: If your boyfriend's 9-to-5 is suddenly bringing him home at midnight or calling him in on weekends, he may be working overtime with another woman. In some cases, there could be a big project or scheduling changes that could cause him to work late, but when it happens repeatedly, you may want to look deeper.
• Strange phone calls: When phone habits change, that could be another red flag that he is cheating. Ignoring certain calls on his cell phone, speaking quietly during certain conversations or taking calls in another room could be warning signs. Though everyone needs privacy on the phone sometimes, when things suddenly become a secret, you have reason to be suspicious.
• Mood swings: You and your boyfriend used to have a lovey-dovey, cuddly relationship and now he's sitting on the other end of the couch, sulking when he's with you. He may start arguments over nothing or could even turn over attentive. He could be struggling with feelings of infidelity.

Sometimes there are other factors that could cause your boyfriend to act strangely. Keep an open line of communication and you'll be able to gauge whether his actions are sinister or just due to stress or circumstances. No matter what, if you are not being treated properly, cut the line and let him go. You deserve to be treated with respect and courtesy, being loved by someone who is faithful.
