Fall Wedding Decorations

Fall wedding decorations are an important part of putting together the perfect autumn wedding, from the fall flowers used in bridal party bouquets to the colorful garlands you can use as a fall wedding decoration in the church or reception hall.

The seasonal colors of fall reflect the transitional nature of the season: eggplant, blues and greens contrasted with vibrant red, orange and yellow, all set against deep earth tones of browns and mocha.

Using fall colors to create decorative centerpieces for the wedding party table and individual guest tables, accompanied by personalized napkins, sets a warm and inviting tone. Add tea lights, whether candle or battery operated, in crystal holders or place small floating candles in applicable colors to clear holders to complete each centerpiece.

Work the fall theme into your table design by included a leaf design into your place cards. A standard card embossed with a leaf will work well as a representative fall emblem, as do acorns, apples and pumpkins or gourds.

Strategically place freeze-dried rose petals in assorted fall colors on tabletops and highlight the wedding cake with candles in appropriate autumnal shades.

Use Chinese lanterns in fall colors for decoration throughout the reception hall. For an added touch, place silk hand fans at each table. Personalize each fan with the newlywed's name and the date of the wedding. Use the fans as both a wedding program and as a wedding party favor for each female guest.

For the church, place a white wedding aisle runner down the center aisle and scatter assorted fall flower petals along the bridal path.

Make solid white or ivory bows using tulle material to affix to each pew. Highlight the bows using fall colored silk ribbons and silk flowers.
