Make your own MLB playoff brackets to help keep track of the playoff competition until the end of the World Series. Choosing picks for MLB playoff brackets can be challenging if you haven't done it before or if you don't follow the season closely. Here are some tips for making your own brackets:
- A bracket is a chart that shows the teams playing each other in each round of the series. Many fans make bets on which teams will win based on their brackets.
- Start creating your bracket by drawing a large left bracket. On the top line, write "American League." On the bottom line, write "National League." These are the two separate leagues whose winners will face off in the World Championships.
- Draw smaller brackets coming off of each league name bracket. This is where you will display the teams competing in the division playoff games.
- Once the division playoffs are done, the two winning teams will advance to the next round. Show this with the addition of another bracket coming off of the division playoff bracket. Be sure to make this for both leagues.
- The next game is the league championship game. When this game is complete, the teams representing both leagues will play in the World Series championship games.
- Make the final bracket. This will be the championship bracket, which will show the game between the National League and American League winners. The winner of the set of seven World Series games is the World Championship winner.
- Although there are some confusing parts about the playoffs, avid baseball followers will be able to understand your chart. You can even find blank, pre-made bracket charts online to make the task easier.
You don't need baseball tickets to get into the action of the playoffs. Seeing if your predictions come true will make the games even more exciting!
