Attract Birds with a Solar Bird Bath

An outdoor solar bird bath is a great way to not only dress up any yard but also to attract birds to your home. Bird baths consist of a water-filled basin mounted on a pedestal. Birds use these structures to drink and to bathe. When buying a bird bath, there are many options to consider. By offering birds a clean place to rest, drink and bathe, you can watch nature’s beauty from the comfort of your home. When it comes to choosing a bird bath, think about your yard and what styles appeal to you.

Type of Bird Bath
A pedestal bird bath is one of the most common birdbaths found in today’s market. These are raised on a pedestal. The shape and design can vary from simple to quite elaborate.

Solar bird baths are similar to fountain ones, but instead of being powered by electricity, they are powered by solar energy or the sun. These bird baths are a great way to help the environment, save money and help the birds.

Heated bird baths ensure that the water in your birdbath will not freeze (i.e. that your birdbath can be used year-round). This kind of birdbath is especially good for areas with cold winters.  A solar bird bath will heat the water so you may not actually need to buy a heated one.

Hanging bird baths are great for people with small or nonexistent yards. Instead of using a pedestal, these bird baths can be hung near a window or balcony. These birdbaths can usually be converted into pedestals and are a great way to save space.

Fountain bird baths have the added bonus of having running water (a fountain). These birdbaths attract a variety of birds because birds are attracted to the sound of running water. Birds not only drink and bathe in fountain bird baths, but they like to play with the water, which is fun to spy.

All birdbaths are a great treat for birds, but a sloar bird bath is great for the enviroment as well.
