What to Bring Camping

Do you know what to bring camping? Picture spending an evening outdoors where the sky is filled with brilliant starlight. Imagine roasting hot dogs and marshmallows over an open flame. If your idea of camping includes a tent beneath the stars or a RV with a bedroom and modern kitchen, camping offers something for everyone. What items should be included on a camping trip?

Be Prepared
It never fails. You get to the campsite, unpack, and realize you're missing a few essentials. Make a checklist and check it twice. Break items down into different categories.

Meal and Snacks
Include items for meal preparation.

Aluminum foil
Bottled water
Charcoal
Cleaning supplies, including dish soap, paper towels, and cleaner
Coffee pot, coffee filters, and coffee
Cooking utensils
Cutting board
Dishes
Food supplies
Knifes and knife sharpener
Pot holders
Propane or charcoal grill

Silverware (heavy duty plastic silverware works)
