Children's Hands-On Museum of Tuscaloosa
At the Children’s Hands-On Museum of Tuscaloosa, your kids will be able to explore a Choctaw Indian Village from the 1700s, check their own heartbeats and climb into a beaver lodge. Your children can learn about a traditional Japanese house and dress in 19th century costumes. There are special activities every Monday through Thursday for the little tykes in your family, including Cozy Corners stories and art and Movin’ & Groovin’ to music.
Hours are Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM and Saturday from 10 AM to 4 PM. The Children’s Hands-On Museum of Tuscaloosa is closed on major holidays.
Dauphin Island Park and Beach Board
Dauphin Island Park and Beach Board offers a number of exciting activities all year long. You can fish at the Dauphin Island Pier or toast in the sun at the Dauphin Island Public Beach. Explore historic Fort Gaines or visit the Audubon Bird Sanctuary. You can bike on the island Bike Path or sit in a park and watch shrimp and crab boats as they pass by. There are things to do on Dauphin Island that will keep you busy for many, many hours.
