To uninstall the Dogpile toolbar, you must have your web browser (such as Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox) open and running. From your toolbar, select Toolbar Uninstall. The computer will go through the steps of removing the Dogpile toolbar. To make sure that Dogpile is deleted from your entire system, you may have to go to the location where the Dogpile file is saved. From here you will be able to uninstall it. You might have to turn off and restart your computer to make sure that it is gone.

The makers of Dogpile say that once you have uninstalled Dogpile, all applications that were downloaded with it will be removed as well. They claim that Dogpile does not keep tabs on your internet habits, but it’s up to you to decide the ramifications. Keep in mind if you choose to reinstall Dogpile that the homepage, search and autosearch on your computer may be changed if you’re not careful during installation. To avoid have these settings changed, pay attention during installation and make sure you don’t accidentally chose to allow Dogpile to change those settings.
